Tryouts Registration

Gators Volleyball Club Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2020 Season will be held at the times and locations shown below, based on age divisions and type of team.  Key information about the teams and program fees are also provided.

Please arrive about 30 minutes ahead of time to allow adequate time for check-in.  For groups that have a 2-week tryout format – plan to attend both sessions, although some cuts will likely be made after week 1.  Scroll down and follow the 4-Step registration process for tryouts now, as space is limited.  Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Check out the tentative practice schedules, competition schedules, and coaching assignments for the teams we anticipate forming for this season.  Please make sure these schedules will work for you before registering for tryouts.

* Athletes not selected for power teams will automatically be considered for club level teams.

Follow all 4 Steps below to register for tryouts as soon as possible, so that we can plan accordingly and you can avoid getting shut out when we reach capacity:

Step 1 – Register/Join USAVolleyball

If you have not already done so, you must register with USAVolleyball’s online webpoint system for the upcoming 2020 season and pay the $60 annual USAV membership fee before tryouts. Due to liability reasons, there are no exceptions to this rule. If you’ve never played Junior Olympic Volleyball before, use the first button below. Otherwise, returning players should use the second button. Either button will open a new browser window for the USAV registration, which you can just close (or “x” out of) upon completion to return here. [Be advised that popup advertisements from USAV sponsors might appear during this process – please feel free to ignore them.]

When registering with USAVolleyball you must pay the USAV annual membership fee with a credit card at the time of online registration. Once your payment is processed, you will be able to print off your USAV membership card. You must bring this membership card to tryouts to document your membership status. This is absolutely required, as we cannot let any player into the gym for tryouts who is not a current USAV member.

Step 2 – Pay the Gators Tryout Fee

Click on the PayPal button below to pay the $50 Gators tryout fee.  We will continue accepting registrations until November 7, as long as space is still available for tryouts at that time.

Step 3 – Complete the Medical Release Form

If you have not already done so, click on the button below to download, fill out, and complete the USA Volleyball medical release form to bring with you to tryouts. Please note that this form requires parent signature in two places. This button will open a new browser window for the USAV medical form, which you can just close (or “x” out of) upon saving/printing the form to return here.

On the medical release form, please write in Gators Volleyball Club in the space for “Club”, and leave the space for “Team Name” blank.

Step 4 – Complete the Tryout Questionnaire

Please click on the box below to fill out the tryout questionnaire, and then be sure to click the blue “Submit” button a the bottom.

That’s it – you’re done!  Once you have completed Steps 1-4, we look forward to seeing you at tryouts!

Please come at the appropriate date and time identified above, depending on your date of birth.  Please arrive approximately 30 minutes early to allow time for the registration process.  Please arrive ready to play with your USAV membership card and medical release form in-hand.  For liability reasons, we must verify Active USAV membership status before allowing players to enter into the gym.  [Parents – please stay with your daughter until the registration process is complete, and your daughter is cleared to enter the gym.]

This is a very competitive endeavor, and not all girls trying out will be offered a spot.  The sooner everyone registers for tryouts, the better we can plan our gym space and coaching staff and accommodate the needs of our players.  We wish you all the best of luck!
